The George Inn is a focal building within the village of Wilby dating back to the early 16th Century, and home to the famous ancient Mulberry tree also known as the hanging tree for its blood red secretion of sap. This is where our restaurant takes its name.

       Oliver Cromwell stayed in the building, and had his last meeting under the mulberry tree before the battle of Naseby on June 14th 1645.

It lends itself perfectly to a modern dining with unexpected twists and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

We offer a beautiful immaculate country garden, with stunning views to the adjoining meadow which is a part of the premises and is open for use or hire.

The outside terraced patio is perfect for an Al fresco style lunch from MJP's Mulberry kitchen or the fresh Sunday Roast  (bookings recommended)
